The Glider Channel Twin fin grew out of the success of my Pipedream Hydro Twin fin. The advent of longer Twin Fins of late and now the popularity of clinker channel out the tail in these boards makes a lot of sense. If you are going to be forced to ride longer boards to up the wave count then it will be looser if it is a twin fin and more positive with channels out the tail.
The deep double concave bordered by a 2” rail chine running ¾ of the way down the bottom adds a lot of rail lift allowing the whole front half to be thrown around catch free even at very low speeds. The reason the bottom shapes suddenly morphs into a deep vee running out the last two feet of the board is to do the exact opposite ie. allow the tail to reconnect with the wave face and sit down as to make the rail to rail transition easy even at high speeds.
Besides the radical bottom shape this model is not that different from a normal Twinny in its DNA.
This design can be ridden any length and so far I have had success as small as 5.6 up to 7.6
ROCKER – Low
RAILS – Thick
PLAN – Area forward
BOTTOM – Hydro concave into channel vee
TAIL – Mutant Swallow
