WAGTAIL TWINNY
This has been a design sitting in my sub cortex for some time now.
There are many quirky features to this design.
Dead flat deck.
Cathedral hull under the nose.
Flared plan shape out to the flyer.
Flutes under the flared flyerers.
Keel twin fins.
Mooned swallow.
Designing a plan shape that flares out in the back half would I imagine stiffen up a board so incorporating this idea into a twin fin should wash off any added stiffness. In the pics this flared tail is not overwhelming and perhaps you need to look hard to see it, but the feel will be prominent! In addition under the flared flyer there is a flute which will act as a squirting mechanism as does the flare in the plan shape and they are right together so it will be easy to find the exact location for the full squirt effect.
Their positioning also coincides with the back of the twin fins again to line up all the release points for a dynamic sweet spot feel. Oh yeah if it has already not got enough quirky design features, I have also shaped in the cathedral hull for good measure. Just looking at this thing… it just wants to leap out of the gates..!
